Air-conditioning - d first lecture on a Thursday morning...

Ok...this is an effin' description of what "usually" happens in what we call a college lecture...

The lecture starts and my eyes swell up with water at the prospect of sitting idle for an hour listening to a shitload of crap about air-conditioning (the arses dont provide even a single one in the class!!). In the first 15 minutes the strength of the class (not talkin' about 'unity' here!) increases from a mere 8 children, who are wondering "Was today a bunk??!!??", to a solid 37.

Knowing my batchmates, i can say that 30 out of 39 (yeah, u noticed it right....2 sleepy dickheads just entered the class!) so-called "students" are yawning, like me, or drooling upon their 4am dreams! ;)

By now our lecturer has pestered two children with the definition of 'properties' and somehow the topic has changed from 'air-conditioning' (which reminds me of the movie 'Con Air'!) to 'mercury'!?! Meanwhile, i notice that there exists a 'specie' of teenagers who are listening to every word the guy speaks in his own aboriginal version of english, while another one sits in one corner making up a question to impress the teacher.

Ohh! And it gets worse. Our 'guru' (my ass!) is trying to explain the meaning of 'dew' to a sleep-ridden class. Furthermore, his english to hindi translation is as bad as anything i have ever heard! Now here comes a mammoth yawn from the dude sitting next to me (actually not much of a dude!). His yawn has a strong inductive effect on me and i have to stop writing this stuff for a full minute and a half to recover from the back-emf of sleep. (Curse u, u goddamned teacher!)

In the time i recovered from my induced-sleep, i got to know that the big guy blocking half the blackboard (which is infact 'green' in color) is now teaching us Cullinery Arts (to be precise 'pressure cookers'!!) And here comes a student all sweaty who probably woke up 10 minutes into the class and came running all the way from the hostel without even taking a shower(yuck!).

Anyhow, inspired by yesterday's t-20 match, our teacher is giving his 'expert opinions' on pitch conditions and speed of the outfield. So next time M S Dhoni wins a toss, he should ask this fat-ass about wether to bowl or bat!! To top it all, after his 45 minutes of howling (47, actually), he strikes the Great Wall of Silence and glazed faces when he asks what 'specific humidity' is!

Finally he realises that a minute more of torture and kids might pass into oblivion and he proceeds to take the attendence, the only thing for which i sit in class!!!

So thats the mind-numbing story of how i get bored every thursday morning...!
